Stryder and Keebler are beat and I’m not far behind.
I think we need to work on their bond a little more…. okay, maybe NOT. Keebler is great at making sure Stryder knows he is lived by him.
Stryder giggled, he is not used to a fog doing cuddles.
We went to the mall today to practice in the real world. Trainers will walk us around, one on one, and make sure we are giving the right commands and corrections and of course Keebler is great. We spent quite a bit of time in the children’s area and we had Keebler in there with all the yelling and screaming kids and he did wonderful. Several kids came up and petted him and he just laid around and did his thing. Every time Stryder would gerontology eyesight, he would stare and wiggle a little. Stryder got very hot and sweaty and has been complaining that his knees hurt so he used Keebler for a little balance. This dog does amazing things. And yes, they are inseperable.
Of course, the best thing are the alerts. So far Keebler has alerted a few times, mostly at night but a couple during the day. The ones during the day were likely small abscence seizures. Soon we will teach him to bark at the seizures, but right now he only licks and sniffs hard and mostly in Stryders ear. Soon, I will be able to sleep and not wake to every noise.
Oh and we were not the “lucky” family to have the dog go poop inside the, but it does happen in every class and this one was no exception. Keebler has been to the mall so many times, he went in the grass just prior, which is what we wanted.
I didn’t get any pictures at the mall though. Forgot my phone in the car… we have no days off though, so there will be more tomorrow.
